We're sorry to see you go! Before you proceed with deleting your Gyanpith account, please consider the following important information:

⏰ Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, you will not be able to recover your account, learning progress, or any associated data.

What Will Be Deleted:

🗑️ Personal Information: Name, phone number, date of birth, educational details
🗑️ Learning Progress: All quiz scores, XP points, achievements, and learning analytics
🗑️ Content Access: Access to all enrolled courses and premium content
🗑️ Profile Data: Profile picture, preferences, and settings
🗑️ Communication: All chat messages, doubts, and communication history
🗑️ Payment History: Transaction records (subject to legal retention requirements)

⚠️ Premium Subscriptions: If you have an active premium subscription, deleting your account will not automatically cancel or refund your subscription. Please cancel your subscription first through the app settings or contact support.

🔧 How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Gyanpith account in two ways:

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

Open Gyanpith App

Launch the Gyanpith app on your mobile device

Go to Profile

Navigate to your Profile screen from the bottom navigation

Open Settings

Tap on the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner

Account Settings

Scroll down to "Account" section

Tap "Delete Account" and follow the confirmation steps

⏱️ Processing Time: Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. During this period, your account will be deactivated but can still be recovered if you change your mind. After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent.

If you're unable to access the app, you can submit a deletion request using the form below. We'll verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

After you delete your account, some data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes:

Payment Records: Retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes (as per Indian law)
Legal Compliance: Data required by law enforcement or legal proceedings
Fraud Prevention: Information to prevent fraud and abuse
Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data used for service improvement

All retained data is stored securely and is never used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties except as required by law.

🔄 Changed Your Mind?

If you change your mind within 30 days of requesting deletion, you can reactivate your account:

Open the Gyanpith app
Log in with your phone number
Follow the prompts to reactivate your account

Note: After 30 days, reactivation is not possible. You'll need to create a new account and start fresh.
